Encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact
you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

men praying The Life Care program is designed for people who have a chronic addiction to alcohol or drugs. Life Care is a residential in-patient style program which challenges participants to change their lives through a full schedule of Christ-centered activities, spiritual development, and structured living.

During their stay, students are required to follow a strict set of rules that help to construct character, discipline, and stability. These qualities are all key to the recovery process. Prayer is a foundational step, and there are daily schedules for prayer time in which participation is mandatory. However, discipline is never enforced without love. Students receive pastoral counseling and the attention of a caring staff who devote their time to ensuring each resident receives individual care for their individual needs and problems.

The typical day of a student begins at 6:00am on weekdays. Breakfast follows, then chores. Morning devotions take place in the chapel at 7:30am, followed by assigned work duties (for the first two weeks, students must spend all day and evenings in induction classes). If work duties are on the campus, students must be in the chapel for prayer at 11:30am. Lunch at most campuses is at 12 noon. Work duties are completed throughout the day, with dinner being at 5pm. Evening classes start at 6:30pm.

Weekend schedules vary by campus, but include fundraising and outreach events, family visits, choir and church services and recreation. Aside from holidays and special events, there is not a lot of free time. This schedule is purposely designed to keep students busy and productive, with minimal time for reflection on their past lives in addiction. Personal reflection on the past is encouraged in a controlled educational setting with the opportunity to apply new principles and patterns of thinking with a focus on the future, instead of the past.
