God is moving on and in Baltimore more than ever before, 2011 is a year of the breaking of strongholds, deliverance from addiction, and the overflowing love of God.  The message of the Good News of Jesus Christ is breaking down historic barriers and overthrowing ancient evils.  Christians everywhere are turning their heart to this city.  Ministers have traveled here from as far away as Africa, Asia, and Europe to participate in the work God has told them all He is going to do here.

Rich and poor, urban and suburban, believers of all races are receiving a call to come to Baltimore and join together in unity to win souls for the Kingdom of God.  Teen Challenge stands as one of the premier adjunct service providers to the Body of Christ, and to each local community where it has been established, as the most successful substance abuse rehabilitation program not only in the US, but worldwide.  Our vision is to grow with the church in Baltimore, as we do our part to rescue of the souls of men and women of every race and creed, in the hour of their most dire need.

Many are saved with love, and that is a wonderful event that we celebrate as well.  Church on Sunday and a Bible Study during the week provides the nurture and training many people who have lived a relatively normal life need. However, many who have life-controlling habits and addictions need a stronger ministry, structure, and leadership that understands their issues.  At Teen Challenge of Baltimore, you will find no diletantes, but seasoned men who have "been there and done that."  Our partners in revival in Baltimore understand that we are uniquely suited to work with the 'hard cases' that normal church programs are not equipped to handle, and recognize the need for someone to fill that function, which is not for everyone.

We, in turn, realize our need for the participation of our trainees in the life of the Body in Baltimore, which is why we have a continuously changing visitation schedule in the local churches, in addition to our discipleship training program and our intensive evangelistic outreach program.  God sees one church in Baltimore, His church, and we are all His servants and members as He has chosen and placed us.  May we all press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ together, believing and walking in the revival God has chosen to bring to this most desperate area.
