Welcome to the Teen Challenge's Expansion Pledge Drive.

Teen Challenge has a track record of over 50 years as the most successful recovery program in the world, thanks to our biblically-based recovery and life-skills training program. The Teen Challenge program is on average more than 10 times more effective than comparable secular recovery programs, about 85% for us, vs 6-7% for them. This is why we can claim to be "The Faith-based Solution to the Drug Epidemic."

The new Teen Challenge of Baltimore Center at 101 N. Potomac St. in East Baltimore was renovated and opened in late 2009. Since this time we have established a strong and stable ministry that consistently brings the Good News of Jesus to the streets of this city, and regularly sends out successful students from our local 4 month first-phase Induction Program to the Advanced Completion Program in the countryside of Pennsylvania.

With only 11 available beds in our current center, we are barely scratching the surface of the need for recovery in a city with at least 60,000 addicts, and countless others suffering from the ravages of alcohol, over-the-counter and prescription drug abuse, etc. This is a city where much of the population is either bound by life-controlling habits, or is directly affected by the issues from family members, loved ones, co-workers, employees, etc. Click the following link to see several pages of pictures of the new facility we are looking at for possible expansion:

Our vision has always been to expand to bring deliverance to more of the people with life-threatening problems, but we can only build as we effectively train new leaders and develop the additional funding needed to purchase and renovate properties in the neighborhoods where they are needed. It is our goal to develop a much larger men's training and community outreach center, a women's shelter and training center, and an adolescent housing and treatment center. As you may know, the ministry we are in is a life-or-death struggle for the souls of lost and hurting people, and is not just a bless-me club.

Your contributions to Teen Challenge of Baltimore are actually being used to rescue and rebuild the lives of people in one of the most desperate cities in the United States. Please consider making a special Contribution or Faith Pledge for this building fund.  Any amount is welcome, but we need about $100,000 to start. If you can contribute now please use the Donate Now button at the top of each page; or, pledge to deliver by March 1, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $5,000, or more, please send an email with the amount of your pledge to our Executive Director, Rev. William Parks, by clicking on the following link:

Monthly Support Needed
While you are at it, please also consider whether you would like to make a recurring monthly support pledge to this ministry. You can easily do that by clicking the Donate Now button in the upper right of any page on the website, choosing the amount you want to donate monthly, and checking the "Make my payment a recurring payment" box. Teen Challenge is ideally positioned to serve the Baltimore community where many others do not have the reach or capacity. Our 14 month residential program is the most successful in the country. We are committed to regularly serving the poor and delivering those in bondage from life-controlling habits through the power of the Word of God and the annointing of the Holy Spirit.

Check back regularly to stay abreast of the latest developments, and don't forget to sign up for our e-newsletter. We welcome volunteer participation in most of our ministry events, please call or email us if you have questions.
